timber and twine...a farm for learning

 I’m Rachel; wife, mama, farmer, teacher. For over 20 years, I have dedicated my life to loving my family well, learning beside my children and cultivating our home. This place is not only my favorite place to be, but is also the heart of my purpose. Chatting around the table, reading on the porch swing, playing in the garden…yes, yes and yes, please! Home is all of these things but for the woman who works at home it is also the daily grind, the threat of monotony, and the non-negotiable need for both creativity and intentional living.  

For me, this need to be intentional became apparent when I lost my mother to cancer several years ago.  Keeping myself and my family healthy became my top priority.  As I uncovered the truth about the modern food system and our resulting digestive health, the farmer in me was born.  On a third of an acre in town, home became homestead as we dove into raising our own food and began dreaming of a farm.  Now, over a decade later, that dream has become a reality.  That dream is Timber & Twine; a farm for learning, a place for makers, and a space to gather with family and friends.  I'm so glad you found us!
